Sight Gauge

what type of 12 gauge shotgun shell does the Marine Corps use for training exercises?

do they use the same ammo that they use for real combat missions or do they have a practice shell? wow, alex you have no idea wtf you are talking about. yeah every Marine is a rifleman, but they most certainly DO use shotguns...and machine guns, and grenades, and handguns, and rocket launchers.

  1. Thought marines were riflemen... I don't think they use shotguns. They only use M16 and M4's last time I checked. They have one shot gun. For close quarters combat, but I don't see why it would be useful when they can just use the m4 since m4 has close and long range capabilities. I just think the shotgun is not the best option. No real reason to use one. Yeah they do have them, but it would only be useful for say entering a house.
  2. M1014 Joint Service Combat Shotgun uses both slug and buckshot. However I couldn't find anything about if they use different ammo for combat and practice.
