Will a PSI gauge for a tank be accurate if it is not directly connected?
If I attached a PSI gauge to measure the pressure of an air tank to a tube or a solid pipe that was a couple of feet long or so, and then attached the other end of that tube or pipe to an air tank, would the reading still be fairly accurate?

- Yes the pressure will equalize in the tube and will be the same as the tank.
- Absolutely. GuitarGeorge is correct.
- It will be just as accurate as if it was attached to the tank.
- Agree with all the others provided your solid pipe is not of huge volume, that would make it read low. GL>
- Yes, as long as there are no leaks in that connection. The size of the tube or pipe makes no difference.
