Oil gauge on 2003 Suburban goes to 0 when engine hits high RPM?
When the engine on my 2003 Suburban hits a high RPM, the oil gauge goes to 0, then goes back to 80 lbs. when RPM drops back down. What could be the problem? Thanks for the answers.. I'll check it and see.

- Probably the gauge or oil pressure sending unit is screwed up. Oil pressure on a Chevy 350 engine should be around 50-60 PSI at highway speeds.
- It should never be 80. It sounds like the wire is off or the sensor is bad. You get 80 when the wire is shorted to ground and zero when the circuit is open.
- it could just be a bad oil sending unit by the oil filter. it could be bad or the wire is loose.
