  1. no need to sight in a shotgun
  2. nope it ready to go to the field to play thats whats cool about a shotgun.
  3. Take it out of the box and your ready to go. Be SAFE.
  4. That depends. If your shooting small game it's most likely fine. if your going out for deer using slugs, i would want to give it a try and see where it shoots.
  5. Hmmm, shotguns usually have a "bead sight" on the barrel. Iron sights refer to the kind of sight you might find on a rifle. If you have a bead sight, you can not sight the shotgun in; what ya got is what ya got. If you have a leaf type rear sight and a blade front sight, sometimes found on slug barrels, you can sight that it. The rear sight is adjustable for windage and maybe elevation. If it is a slug barrel - - I sighted mine in for 50 yards. You can also add electronic dot sights, red dot sights, laser sights, and scopes to the barrel as well. Have fun.
  6. depends on what king of barrel you got most comes with bead but some do come with sight i would make sure its not a slug barrel because if its a slug barrel you can not shoot regular bird loads or buck shots out of it double check to see what you got. it its a smooth bore barrel you are ok to shoot what ever but if its rifled slugs are your only option.
  7. If you are talking about an 870 Tactical with a rear ghost ring sight, then yes you need to sight it in. Sighting in with slugs is a given, but even buckshot will benefit from being centered at range.
  8. No, really no need to sight in a shotgun, unless your shooting slugs with a rifled barrel. It will be sighted in fine, good to go.
  9. Yes you will have to zero the sights.
