Sight Gauge

I need information on railing systems for a 12 gauge?

My husband has a Hawk model 982 12 gauge by interstate arms corp and a red dot by sight mark model sm13003b and i wanted to purchase him the railing equipment before he gets home this week... PLEASE HELP!!!!!

1. Ok, easy answer.... In your local gun store, tell them the model and they will show you the rails that will fit his model. You have your choice of Weaver or Picatinny rails.... they essentially do the same job and look the same, but how they fasten differs a little. Neither is better than the other.... If you opt for a Weaver rail, then youll need weaver scope rings to attach a scope... same deal if you get a Picatinny rail, youll need picatinny scope mounts.. Cant use weaver rail and picatinny scope mounts, get it? So that's all.... go to the gun shop....ordering offline will work and if you want to, but since it's gotta be done THIS week, just go to your local gun shop. The guys will help you out.. and if you bring the gun with you (if you have a permit to drive/be in possession of it) they'll certainly even put it on for you. If you're putting it on yourself, dont forget the Loc-tite!
