Will my 1 inch guages close?

Okay I'm joining the marines in about a year , and I know forsures they don't allow any piercings . And I have huge gauges and I wanna know if they will close up completely I have many months to start letting them heal but I wana know cause I wana keep them as long as I can. But if worst comes to worst I will just have them surgecly stiched up, which I'm trying to avoid :/ help please!

1. Of course they will shrink over time, but if they don't, go for the surgery.
2. It will probably shrink but not fully close...I think you may have to get the surgery done
3. A 1 inch gauge is too far stretched out, and depending on how old it is, it may not shrink that much either. You're probably going to have to get reconstructive surgery.
4. No they will not, but on the other hand, I had 1 inch gauges, and they closed enough for the airforce to allow me to join without getting surgery.
