Why does my oil gauge go up when the engine heats up?
After starting the engine the oil gauge will go down and stay down when the engine heats up. I've checked the oil and transmission fluid, What should I do and should I drive my truck?

- its just the oil pressure, the heat in the engine builds up pressure in the engine and that produces more horsepower. its alright to drive just as long as it doesn't overheat.
- I DON'T REALLY UNDER STAND YOUR QUESTION. DO YOU MEAN YOU OIL PRESSURE DROPS ON YOUR GUAGE, USUALLY DROPS DUE TO LOW OIL PRESSURE..YOU COULD HAVE A BAD OIL PRESSURE SWITCH OR WORSE CASE, BOTTOM END GOING OUT.
