how do i wire a marine radio in a boat if there are no wires for the radio?

i have a 1985 wellcraft 182 american and the boat never had a radio .so this year im tired of using my i phone so im thinking of putting one in .i need to run a wire to the battery but i do not know what gauge ,or what kind of in line fuse to use .i also need a on off switch for the radio cuz im doing it the cheap way and not going to buy another battery ..i kow how to hook the speakers up i jus need help getting the head unit in
